Policies

A $40.00 registration fee is due per student at the time of his/her Fall or Spring Registration. This registration fee will hold your student's place in the class until the first month of tuition is due. The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. No registration fee is due for Summer Registration.

  • Tuition is due in full, on the 1st of each Month. After the 5th of each month, there will be a $25.00 late fee applied to your account.

  • Tuition is calculated based on a 45 minute class. As your child gets older, so does the length of his or her class. When classes are longer than 45 minutes, essentially the extra minutes are a bonus for you or your child.

  • All returned checks will have a $25.00 service charge.

  • As a courtesy and reminder, a monthly statement will be emailed. Again, this statement is a courtesy. Please make sure your email is up to date in the office, so that you may receive this statement and other important SWAY reminders.

  • Tuition has been calculated for the entire dance season August through May, and then divided into 10 monthly payments. Therefore, though some months have 3 weeks of class and some have 5 weeks, the tuition will not be prorated.

  • If a student enrolls mid-month, tuition will not be prorated, however, that student may make up missed classes.

  • If tuition is delinquent for more than 2 months, your student will not be allowed to participate in class.

  • Costume fees are due in full for all dancers November 1st. Families may make installment payments with tuition in September and October to lessen the financial burden in November, however, no costume fee installments will be arranged after November 1st of each year. Full payment for costume fees must be collected in our office with tuition by November 1st.  No costume will be guaranteed for any student purchasing a costume after December 15th and rush shipping fees will apply. Costume fees are non-refundable. Thus, if a student drops a class after his/her costume has been ordered, the dancer may collect their costume from Sway the following summer. Costume fees are non-transferable. Thus, if a dancer's schedule changes after January 1st where a costume has been previously ordered for a dropped class and a new costume must be ordered for a new class, an additional costume fee plus a rush shipment charge will be due for the new costume. That dancer will receive his/her new costume (though not guaranteed by recital) and the previously ordered costume at the end of the season. A 45.00 Recital fee is due November 1st for each dancer participating in Recital. Recital fees are non-refundable.

  • If an account has an outstanding tuition/fee balance at the time costumes are ordered, a costume will not be ordered for that dancer until the balance has been paid in full, plus a rush shipping fee. We do not guarantee any costume will arrive in time for the annual recital if the costume is not ordered by December 15th.

  • If an account has an outstanding tuition/fee balance at the time costumes are distributed, that dancer will not receive his/her costume until the balance is paid in full.

  • If an account has an outstanding tuition/fee balance at the time of the annual Recital, that dancer will not be allowed to participate on-stage until the account balance is paid in full.

  • No refunds will be given. Any issue where an adjustment should be made will be determined by Sway Dance Center, and a credit to your account may be applied.

  • We accept check, cash, and credit card, and you may set up a recurring credit card payment through the office. If we have your credit card on file and you have authorized a reccurring payment, it will be charged on the 1st of each month for tuition plus any outstanding fee.
